Te Aho Tapu Fund: Uptake Continues to Grow

Between March and June 2026, whānau accessed an incredible $2,457,154 through the Te Aho Tapu Fund — flexible, responsive pūtea that helps whānau take meaningful steps towards the goals and aspirations identified in their own Whānau Plans.

We’ve seen strong growth in the use of Te Aho Tapu over these four months, with June recording the highest monthly investment at $856,084. Behind these numbers are whānau aspirations being supported and Kaiwhiriwhiri working alongside whānau to identify what will make the greatest difference for them.

With all 51 Service Providers now extended through to June 2027, there is more time and opportunity to continue using Te Aho Tapu in ways that respond to what whānau need to move their aspirations forward.
