Naming the Invisible Mahi: Providers as System Navigators

The stories and reflections shared by our Providers throughout 2025–2026 continue to remind us just how much happens behind every whānau outcome.

Every day, our Kaiwhiriwhiri are walking alongside whānau as navigators, advocates, connectors and trusted supports. They are helping whānau navigate housing, hauora, income, education and justice systems, often working across multiple spaces at once to help remove barriers and create pathways forward.

Much of this mahi can be difficult to capture in numbers alone, but we know it is often where some of the most meaningful impact happens.

At Te Rangitāmiro, we want to ensure this mahi is seen, valued and understood. As we continue to grow and strengthen our approach, the experiences shared by our Providers and Kaiwhiriwhiri will help shape how we commission, how we measure impact, and importantly, how we better support those walking alongside whānau every day.
